About Me

My name is K8, and I'm a 26 year old female starting medical school this year as Class of 2015!

If you have any questions about me, this is the place for them. But, keep in mind this is a semi-anonymous blog. What does that mean, K8? It means that people I know read this blog, and anyone who has met me could probably identify me after reading one or two posts. If this is you, please don't give away any identifying info in your comments, or I will delete them unceremoniously. And I may remove you as my friend from Facebook foreverz.

My favorite color is pink and I love both stuffed and real animals. In my life, my family and I have owned a lot of pets including: a hedgehog, two ferrets, countless dogs and cats (including a litter of puppies), a tarantula (named Phil), a California albino kingsnake, salt-water fish, an aquatic frog, and a cockatoo.

I have a degree in computer engineering from a difficult engineering school that thought it was Oh So Hilarious to assign more homework than was possible in a 24 hour period. I'm a bit of technophile with something like 9 computers currently gracing our house. Before medicine, I used to design computer chips, so yeah, that probably narrows down who I could be by a lot. I also like to play video games, although I have less and less time now that I started a blog.

I love movies and I read books. A lot. Science fiction and fantasy are my genre of choice for reading.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, funny stories, pleas, money you want to give away, property you want to sell me in Florida, or just an awesome book suggestion, send me an email.

TL;DR: I'm a 26 year old female starting medical school in the fall of 2011 in the Northeastern United States. I'm a nontraditional applicant coming from the field of computer engineering. I'm incredibly silly, a little nerdy and I ask a lot of questions. I find I have a lot to say; I hope you enjoy reading about it!

  2. Oh hey, I found you over at Table for One and came and read a few postings. So interesting! I loved the post about seeing operations. And I'm a little jealous that you get to start over and do something else that you clearly love. So will subscribe or follow or whatever. .
    I'm Stella by the way.
